Upside down house
The new attraction on the Southern Black Sea coast
The new attraction on the Southern Black Sea coast - "The Upside Down House" is located next to the town of Chernomorets, only 1.7 km away from Boutique Villa Amalia. It is located on the old road that connects the town of Chernomorets and the town of Sozopol - the internal road to the Gradina camp. The attraction is something more interesting and quite different from other entertainment spots.
The Castle of Ravadinovo
Immerse yourself in the fabulous luxury of a castle from children's fairy tales
The Castle "In love with the wind" is located in the village of Ravadinovo - 3 km. from the town of Sozopol and 9 km. from Chernomorets. The style of the Castle is Fairy, Enchanting. This is the secret of its magic impact - a dream to build a castle existing only in fairy tales come true. It was built completely of 20 000 tons of stone, specially extracted from the bowels of the Strandzha Mountains. The stone is marble (metamorphosed limestone), which is used everywhere – in the fence, the artificial lake, walls and towers, the chapel and the cellar. It contains traces of micro diamonds, which makes the castle change its colour – in the morning it has pink nuances, during the day, it becomes white and at full moon - it glows.
The Akra Fortress
The new archeological sensation on our Southern Black Sea coast
The Akra Fortress is the new archeological sensation on our Southern Black Sea coast. The discovery was not unexpected - the military, whose secret base was located near Chernomorets years ago, has reported archaeological traces of it. The fortress, part of which the sea has swallowed, provokes interesting versions of what it was in the past. Archaeologists have found remains of a sunk city, 2/3 of which were located on land, and the remaining 1/3 under the water.
Sozopol
The Pearl on the South Black Sea Coast
Sozopol is one of the oldest towns on Bulgarian Thrace's Black Sea coast. The first settlement on the site dates back to the Bronze Age. Undersea explorations in the region of the port reveal relics of dwellings, ceramic pottery, stone and bone tools from that era. Many anchors from the second and first millennium BC have been discovered in the town's bay, a proof of active shipping since ancient times. It is situated on a picturesque peninsula in the southern part of the Bourgas bay, about 30 km. from Burgas and 6 km. from Chernomorets and "Boutique Villa Amalia".
Strandzha Mountain
One of the most interesting mountains in Bulgaria
Strandzha is a mountain with a thousand-year history. As a coastal mountain it is inextricably bound up with the water and the sea. The rich ore and marble fields and dense oak forests, supplying abundant and quality shipbuilding material, have for centuries created an environment for the development of mining, seafaring and trade. It is not by accident that in 610 BC on a small peninsula in northern Strandzha was founded the famous ancient Greek colony Apollonia (nowadays - the town of Sozopol).
